LarrainVial celebrates 90 years reaffirming its commitment to art, culture and heritage

In the framework of its anniversary, LarrainVial is proud to support the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art in carrying out its exhibition “Contacts”. This exhibition brings together 55 works of textiles, silverware and oil painting from the Andean region of Chile and Peru, produced between the 16th and 18th centuries. The pieces stand out for their artistic quality, reflecting the historical value and cultural crossroads of the colonial period of that time.

For LarrainVial, a company with a presence in five countries, including Peru, this exhibition highlights the deep connection and common legacy of our ancestors. Juan Luis Correa, General Manager of LarrainVial, said: “In honor of this important milestone and as a sign of our continued commitment to supporting Chile's cultural heritage, we are proud to celebrate this anniversary with an exhibition that captures the richness of one of the most sophisticated artistic expressions of the time.”

The curatorship, by Olaya Sanfuentes, Gloria Cabello and Nilda Callañaupa, with the support of the team from the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, highlights textiles as symbols of dialogue and cultural exchange. In the words of Sanfuentes, “these textiles facilitate bridges between the past and the present, they allow us to adjectivate the complexities of encounters between cultures and promote a future of dialogue”.

In addition, during this year, LarrainVial has continued to strengthen its commitment to art, collaborating on initiatives such as the exhibition “Memory of the Landscape” by Fernando Casasempere at Galería Artespace and in its current alliance with Fundación Antenna as presenter of the Antenna Community Experience Program.

With actions like these, LarrainVial helps to strengthen the artistic ecosystem, inspiring new generations and reaffirming its position as a key actor in the country's cultural development.
